　　Lyke as a ship that through the Ocean wyde，By conduct of some star doth make her way，Whenas a storme hath dimd her trusty guyde，Out of her course doth wander far astray.

　　So I whose star，that wont with her bright ray Me to direct，with cloudes is overcast，Doe wander now in darknesse and dismay，Through hidden perils round about me plast.

　　Yet hope I well，that when this storme is past My Helice the lodestar of my lyfe

　　Will shine again，and looke on me at last，With lovely light to cleare my cloudy grief.

　　Till then I wander carefull comfortlesse，In secret sorrow and sad pensivenesse.

　　[參考譯文]愛是一只行駛在汪洋中的小船，在星辰的指引下航行;當風暴暗淡了為它導航的星光，小船將遠遠地偏離航向。

　　我的星辰也曾用她的光亮為我引路導航，現在卻被烏云遮擋，讓我在黑夜與苦悶中彷徨，穿行在暗礁險灘的重圍中。

　　但我依舊充滿希望：當暴風雨過去，Helice，我生命中的北極星，最終定會重放光芒，將我的航程照亮，用她可愛的光輝驅散我悲傷的陰云。

　　而在此之前，我憂心忡忡地徘徊在人生之旅，愁思滿懷，獨自神傷。
