A recent survey analyzed the change in number of film-goers and TV watchers in X city. As is shown by the graph, there has been a sharp decline in the number of film-goers during the period from 1992 to 20xx, adding up to 20,000 in 20xx. On the other hand, the number of TV watchers has steadily increase in the last decade, reaching 150,000 in 20xx. Finally, it is interesting to note that there were as many film-goers as TV watchers in year 1998.
There might be two reason, I think, for the change. Firstly, TV is not only a convenient source of entertainment, but a comparatively cheap one. There is no point in arranging transport. And one needn’t pay for expensive seats at the cinema. Secondly, TV makes it possible for one to keep track of current events and the latest developments in science and technology. As a consequence, most people prefer to stay at home, watching TV, rather than go out to the cinema, which wastes both time and money.
Personally, there are still a lot of people who enjoy watching films. They argue that the film is a fascinating form of art. Sitting comfortably in the cinema, one can appreciate the latest movies, which will usually be shown on TV far later on. Therefore, I trust the number of film-goers will be on the rise in the future.

漢堡式英語作文教學因為文章的開頭段和結尾段都非常相似，而最重要的信息則在文章的主干部分中。想想看漢堡的樣子：上下兩部分是面包—開頭和結尾，將漢堡包最重要的部分好好地包裹起來。
所謂漢堡包，不可缺少的有這樣幾部分：蓋、肉、菜、沙拉醬、底。下面我們就一個一個的來分析。
蓋：作為一個漢堡包的蓋，它的特點是蓋住下面的主體部分，是映入人們眼簾的第一樣東西。蓋住下面的整體部分在作文寫作當中，就可以理解為“總領全文”，也就是文章的開頭。同學們通常看到上面的半個面包坯，就會想到，“哦，這是一個漢堡包”。而不會想到，這是大米飯。在小學生的作文寫作當中，讓學生擁有通篇中心意識是很重要的。學生要在開篇的時候就知道自己在寫什么，而不是湊一句，是一句。作為蓋還有另外一個特點。大部分的漢堡包的面包坯蓋都會嵌有一寫芝麻。看似簡單的芝麻卻有著巨大的學問。小小的裝飾讓人垂涎欲滴，勾起對美味食物的幻想，也讓單調的面包不再單調。這就是在作文寫作當中，我們要有一個“鳳頭”：總領下文，又不會喧賓奪主；小而精，給人以遐想的空間，激發讀者繼續看下去的欲望。這就是“蓋”的作用。
肉：在一個漢堡包當中，最為關鍵的一部分。就是文章當中的主體部分，或者詳寫部分。肉的內容直接決定了漢堡包的性質：是雞肉漢堡、牛肉漢堡、雞腿漢堡、鱈魚漢堡……；另外，肉的好壞也是漢堡味道的基本。文章的主要內容部分一定要重點敘述，用最大量的筆墨，寫的豐滿，不能寫成“大蘑菇頭”式，喧賓奪主。濃墨重彩的部分也要突出， 文章的.好壞這里是最重要的。
菜：菜是和肉相對而言的。如果肉是詳寫部分，那菜就是略寫部分。文章和漢堡一樣，都要有詳有略，葷素搭配才能好看好吃又有營養。俗話說，紅花還得綠葉配，適當的略寫可以為文章的主線增光添彩。
沙拉醬：沙拉醬好像是沒什么用處，可是一個漢堡包里如果沒有它又不行，因為它調節了肉、菜、面包之間的關系，讓口感更融洽，更細膩。它就是文章的過渡，承上啟下的部分。貌似簡單，但卻起著很關鍵的作用。
底：首先，底和蓋用的是相同的材料，在文章里就體現為：首尾必須呼應！經常有孩子顧此失彼，寫到后面就不知道前面在寫什么了。這是讓學生注意這一方面的最好提醒。其次，底部還有一個重要的作用。我們在吃漢堡包的時候，一定是拿起來吃的。而拿的時候，要拿什么地方？拿蓋？拿肉？拿菜？或者沙拉醬？都不是。是底，必須托底。這樣才能拿起來一個完整的漢堡包。也就是說，底有多高，這個漢堡包就有多高。這就是文章升華的高度。漢堡包不被拿起來，是吃不到嘴里的；文章沒有高度，是沒有意義的。高度的提升，就是作者的思想升華的過程。
下面是寫作的方法：

6.Use one sentence to introduce every body paragraph to follow。 This linking to ideas you will develop further in your body paragraphs provides structure to your essay。

7.Finish the introductory paragraph with a short summary or goal statement。 For example： Technological innovation has thus made the traditional workplace obsolete。

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. And, garbage from discarded food can cause track fires. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

True friends always come to you when their help is in need.They try their best to help you without thinking what they can get from it. This invariably wins them love and respect from otbers, for they devote themselves to the happineof others. Up to the time of my writing this article, Aero has been helping me with my selecting the courses with great effort. He is a friendly and zealous guy. I think he has been liked by others since long ago because of his characteristics. He is always brisk,enthusiastic, energetic and he is smiling no matter when or where you see him. However, I like him for some other reason.It seems that between us there is a special way to communicate and it's not the usual way through which we communicate such as words and gestures. He has always been a friend of mine be cause I like the way he acts and lives and the way we communicate. One morning a week ago, he came to me and asked if he could be of help. Actually I had been worrying about my course of this semester for days since I hadn't got any English courses yet! Still I was totally caught off guard by Aero's offer though he had always been kind. I thought it was my own busineand it had never occurred to me that some other individual would offer to help with my selecting the courses. So I declined his kindness. The very next day, I got a cough and it later turned out to be a four-day high fever. In those days, I was extremely weak and lay in bed all day long and hardly had any strength even to eat. I lost the power to keep an eye on the possible vacancies of the English courses ever since I got a high fever. I began to regret declining Aero's offer. Just at that moment, Aero called,asking about my health and told me to have a good rest, saying that he would shoulder the responsibility of selecting my English courses for me. Now I am writing this article as the homework of this writing course and I'd like to re emphasize that it is all due to my friend's effort that I have finally made it. I was really grateful to him when he called and offered to help and it is hard to expremy gratitude with words. All I want to say about it is that at that moment, I realized that he had offered to help not because it made him feel he was important but because he meant business. He's a man of integrity. I am proud of having such a friend.
