　　The ninth day of the ninth lunar month is the Chong Yang Festival, a traditional festival in China. The celebrating activities are various and romantic ,including climbing mountains , appreciating chrysanthemums , wearing dogwoods , eating the Chong Yang cake and so on . “Nine” has the same pronunciation as the Chinese character “jiu” which stands for ”a long time” , and is the biggest single figure . Therefore it indicts longevity. There have been a lot of poems and works celebrating Chong Yang Festival and praising chrysanthemums since ancient times. People also believe that climbing mountains can expel bad luck, and indicates “climbing to a higher position” and “longevity”. China designates the ninth day of the ninth month as Senior ‘s Day , which combine tradition with modern times subtly to turn it into a festival for respecting , caring about , loving , and helping the elderly people .

　　農歷九月初九為中國傳統的.節日—重陽節。慶祝重陽節的活動多彩而浪漫，包括登高遠眺、觀賞菊花、遍插茱萸、吃重陽糕等。“九”與漢字“久”同音，又是個位數字之最，因此寓意長壽長久。自古以來，有不少賀重陽用菊花的詩詞佳作。人們還以為，登高可以驅除霉運，意指“晉升高位”和“長壽”。中國把九月九日定為老人節，傳統與現代巧妙地結合，使之成為一個尊老、敬老、助老的節日。

　　When people are waiting for the new year’s coming, the government announces the next year’s holiday plan, people find that the new year’s eve is not off, people have to work! This is a big news for them, because new year’s eve is very important for Chinese people, they treat that day as a big day. The holiday plan has been critical by the public, as for me, I feel astonished that people in the new year’s eve should work, because they get used to going home, having dinner with family, but now, they have to work in such a big day. That day should be off, people have been working for a year, the Spring Festival is of importance, the day before Spring Festival is the day for the family getting together, having dinner and sharing happiness. If people go home after work, they don’t have enough time to prepare for the big day. New year’s eve should not be off.

　　當人們在等待新年到來的時候，政府頒布了下一年的放假安排，人們發現新年前一天不放假，他們不得不工作!這是多么震驚的'消息啊，因為新年前一天對于中國人來說是很重要的，他們把這一天當做大日子。放假安排被大眾所批評，對于我來說，我感到很很震撼，人們居然在新年前一天還要工作，因為人們習慣了回家，和家人吃飯，但是現在，他們要在這一天工作。新年前一天應該放假，人呢么已經工作了一年，春節很重要，春節前一天是讓家人團聚，吃飯和分享快樂的日子。如果人們下班后才回家，就沒有足夠的時間來準備。新年前一天不應該工作。

　　As a child, I am so luck. I don’t need to worry about food. I always have enough delicious food, live in a big house, and have beautiful clothes to dress. I am so happy that I have no idea to treasure all these things. I am a kind of particular about food. I often eat a little for one dish and the throw it away, because I have many choices. I will be full after eating several dishes. But one day, I watch a piece of news on TV. It is about some Africa children who are suffering starvation. They are so poor. They are not only having no food to eat but also having little water to drink. A bowl of rice is very rare for them. Seeing their longing eyes, I feel guilty. I am regret about wasting food before. How can I waste so much rare food? From now on, I will try my best to save food, to do something for them.

　　作為一個孩子，我是如此的幸運。我不用擔心食品的問題。我總是有充足的美味食物，住在大房子里面，穿著漂亮的衣服。我是如此的幸福，所以我都沒想過要珍惜這一切。我可以說得上是挑食的人。我經常吃一樣菜只吃一點點，然后就扔掉了，因為我有很多的選擇。吃了幾道菜后我就會飽了。但是有一天，我在電視上看到一個新聞。那是關于正在遭受饑餓的非洲兒童。他們是如此的`可憐。他們既沒有食物也沒有多少水可以喝。一碗白飯對他們是那么的彌足珍貴。看到他們那雙渴望的眼睛，我感到很內疚。我很后悔一直在浪費食物。我怎么能浪費那么珍貴的食物呢?從現在開始，我會努力節約糧食，為他們盡一份力。
