　　He began to play badminton when he was at primary school。 In 20xx， he won his first good medal， which was significant to him， in Guangzhou。 Because of that， he entered the Chinese Badminton Team。 As he is as old as Lin dan， who is the top one in the world， he is always put into a situation which is not good to him。 He seldom beats Lin dan， so he gained a name which is called’千年老二’。 In fact， his techniques are comprehensive， but he is lack of passion， the desire to win is not so strong。 So he always has misplays。 Due to this， he seldom wins the gold medal。 I think this is related to his character。 He is easygoing and couth; he looks as if he will never get angry with anybody。 So this affects him while he is playing badminton。 In a period of time， critical voice has come towards him。 He is under great pressure。 He was not in the best state。 But recently he cheers up again。 Several days ago， the Chinese Badminton Championship 20xx was held in Guangzhou。 I went to see him on Saturday。 I was very excited， and I shouted loudly， hoping he could hear me。 There is no doubt that he won the game。 Before he went away， he waved hand to us， how excited I was at that time! The next day， he beat Li zongwei again and he won the man’s single gold medal。 All of us are very happy。 After 7 years， which could be a long time for an athlete， he proved himself again in Guangzhou， which is considered as his lucky place。

But it seems to me,all these are more or less confined to the beauty in appearance,or rather,the outward beauty.

　　In my opinion,we shouldn't only pay attention to beautiful appearance and neglect the beautification of the mind and what we are after should be the perfect unity of the outward beauty and the inner beauty. As we all know,so far as objects and animals are concerned,there is only beautiful appearance to be mentioned, but to us humanbeings, although the outward beauty really matters, the inner beauty is much more important. 　　is faced with drawbacks or hardships. This truth seems to be evident. However, in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome. For someone, this might be true. But for many others, this only shows that they have lost heart.

　　Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something? There are, among others, two main reasons. First, these people do have a correct estimate of themselves. Second, they overestimate the difficulties.

　　It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one’s abilities. We should never underestimate one’s abilities. But believe in the proverb: “Where there is a will, there is a way.” Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully.

I used bigger heels to complement my height and psychological maneuvers and tricks to hide my lack of confidence. But no matter how hard I tried to look the part, there was still something missing.

　　As president of English Club, I organized the rehearsal of Snow White for an English party. Unfortunately, we could not find an actor to be the last dwarf. It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. 　　Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. 　　It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language. About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest. When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak. I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. My fears had paralyzed me.

　　While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public. When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said "no." "Look," he said, "We all have our fears, and you have yours. You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails，but one who never quits."

　　I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!

　　As it turned out, my dear old professor was right. Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference! Thank you.

Good afternoon:

　　Honorable judges dear teachers and close friends. I’m very glad to stand here to share may speech with you,today I am going to talk about dreams.

　　Everyone has a dream.

　　Martin luther king had a dream-and we can recall his civil rights speech.Phil knight had a dream-and now the whole world knows his nike slogan “just do it”.

　　I also have a dream ,but not only a simple one .

　　When I was a small girl,my dream was that I would be a doctor when I grew up. I will be the first person who produces a new medicine. this kind of medicine can make teachers relax when they are busy correcting their students’ exercises and preparing their lessons. because one day when I woke up at midnight, I found my father, a senior Chinese teacher, was still busy with his work .i was deeply moved. I wish my father could be healthy and relaxed every minute.

　　But now, I have another dream ,I want to learn English well. I love English , English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on interet and internation trade ning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

　　Everyday ,I read English following the tapes times, I watch english cartoons the weekend ,I often go to the English corner talking with different people there ,I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English . I ’will try my best .

　　I know fantasy is hard to com ture,bue dream can. I’ll work hard for my dreams ,I’ll never give up.
