　　Japan—The Obon, Or The Festival Of TheLanterns日本——盂蘭盆節，又名燈籠節

　　The Festival of the Dead in Japan, which is called Obon, is held every year in the month of August. Obon is a day when the spirits return to visit theirrelatives.日本的鬼節叫“盂蘭盆節”，時間是每年八月份。在盂蘭盆節這一天，鬼魂都要回來拜訪親人。

　　ManyBuddhistsin Japan celebrate this holiday by preparingofferingsof special food for their ancestors’ spirits, which are placed on altars in temples and in their homes.很多日本的佛教徒過節的時候都為祖先的亡魂準備一些特殊食物作祭品，放置在寺廟和家里的供桌上。

　　As the sun goes down families light paper lanterns and hang them in front of their houses to help the spirits find their way home.太陽落山時家人就點上紙燈籠，懸掛在屋前幫助亡魂找到回家的路。

　　Thecelebrationsend with families sending colorful paper lanternslitby candles floating down the rivers andbaysof Japan and out to sea.慶祝活動的'最后環節是家人在河里放彩色的紙燈籠，里面點燃蠟燭順流而下，最后漂到大海。

　　The string of colorful lights bobbing in the water are meant to guide the spirits of their loved ones back to therealmof the dead.水面上浮動的一串串彩色光亮，是為了指引親人的亡魂回到幽冥之地。
