A lot of nurses like my aunt are so great, they are doing the ordinary work but they are not ordinary.

　　節日由來

　　The Origin of Festivals

　　Between 1854 and 1856, the Anglo French coalition engaged in fierce battles with Tsarist Russia. A nursing director in the UK, Nightingale, led 38 nurses to the front line to participate in nursing care for patients. Due to chaotic medical management and poor nursing quality at that time, the mortality rate of injured and sick patients was as high as 42%. In this situation, Nightingale was determined to devote himself to improving the hygiene conditions of the ward and strengthening the care and nutrition of patients. Six months later, the mortality rate of hospital patients decreased to 2.2%. This story has spread throughout Europe. In 1860, she founded the worlds first formal nursing school in London, England.
