以2010年12月大學(xué)英語四級(jí)考試真題為例
College English Test —Band Four(CET-4)
《大學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱》大綱指出：大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的目的是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生具有較強(qiáng)的閱讀能力、一定的聽的能力以及初步的寫和說的能力，使學(xué)生能以英語為工具，獲取專業(yè)所需要的信息，并為進(jìn)一步提高英語水平打下較好的基礎(chǔ)。為此，本考試主要考核學(xué)生運(yùn)用語言的能力，同時(shí)也考核學(xué)生對(duì)語法結(jié)構(gòu)和詞語用法的掌握程度。
本考試是一種標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化考試。考試范圍主要是教學(xué)大綱所規(guī)定的一級(jí)至四級(jí)的內(nèi)容。為保證試卷的信度，除短文寫作是主觀性試題外，其余試題都采用客觀性的選擇題形式。短文寫作部分旨在較好地考核學(xué)生運(yùn)用語言的能力，從而提高試卷的效度。
本考試于每學(xué)期結(jié)束前后舉行，由大學(xué)英語四、六級(jí)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)考試設(shè)計(jì)組負(fù)責(zé)和實(shí)施。每年舉行兩次。
本考試包括六個(gè)部分：短文寫作、快速閱讀、聽力理解、深度閱讀、完形填空、翻譯。全部題目按順序統(tǒng)一編號(hào)。
第一部分：寫作Part I Writing (30 minutes占總分15%)：Directions：For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled How Should Parents Help Children to Be Independent? You should write at least 150 words following the outline given below.
共1題，考試時(shí)間30分鐘。要求考生寫出一篇不少于150詞的短文，試卷上可能給出題目，或規(guī)定情景，或要求看圖作文，或給出段首句要求續(xù)寫;或給出關(guān)鍵詞要求寫成短文。要求能夠正確表達(dá)思想，意義連貫，無重大語法錯(cuò)誤。寫作的內(nèi)容包括日常生活和一般常識(shí)。
短文寫作部分的目的是測(cè)試學(xué)生運(yùn)用英語書面表達(dá)思想的初步能力。
第二部分：快速閱讀Part II Reading Comprehension(Skimming and Scanning) (15 minutes 1-10共10題，每題1分占總分10%)
Directions: In this part, you will have 15 minutes to go over the passage quic kly and answer the questions on Answer Sheet 1. For questions 1-7, choose the best answer from the four choices marked [A], [B], [C] and [D]. For questions 8-10, complete the sentences with the information given in the passage.

Section A 11-25
Directions: In this section, you will hear 8 short conversations and 2 lo ng conversations. At the end of each conversation, one or more questions will be asked about what was said. Both the conversation and the questions will be spoken only once. After each question there will be a pause. During the pause, you must read the four choices marked [A], [B], [C] and [D], and decide which is the best answer. Then m ark the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre ：

Questions 26 to 29 are based on the passage you have just heard.

Section C 36-46
Directions: In this section, you will hear a passage three ti mes. When the passage is read for the first time, you should listen carefully for its general idea. When the passage is read for the second time, you are required to fill in the blanks numbered from 36 to 43 with the exact words you have just heard.
For blanks numbered from 44 to 46 you are required to f ill in the missing information. For these blanks, you can either use the exact words you have just heard or write down the main points in your own words. Finally, when the passage is read for the third time, you should check what you have written.
C節(jié)共11題，讀三遍，36-43填詞44-46填句子
A節(jié)、B節(jié)念一遍，每個(gè)問句后有約15秒的間隙，要求考生從試卷所給出的每題四個(gè)選擇項(xiàng)中選出一個(gè)最佳答案。C 節(jié)念三遍，填詞或句子。錄音的語速為每分鐘約120詞。
選材的原則是：
1、 話部分為日常生活中的一般對(duì)話，句子結(jié)構(gòu)和內(nèi)容不太復(fù)雜;
2、 短篇聽力材料為題材熟悉、情節(jié)不太復(fù)雜的故事、講話、敘述等;
3、 所用詞語不超出教學(xué)大綱詞匯表四級(jí)規(guī)定的范圍。聽力理解部分的目的是測(cè)試學(xué)生獲取口頭信息的'能力。
第四部分：深度閱讀Part Ⅳ Reading Comprehens ion (Reading in Depth) (25 minutes 47-66共20題，占總分25% 其中47-56 每題0.5分占5%，57-66每題2分占20%，這部分包括兩節(jié)：A節(jié)47-56從15詞中選10填空。B節(jié)57-66兩文段單選)

Directions: In this section, there is a passag e with ten blanks. You are requir ed to s elect one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Read the passage through carefully before making your choices. Each choice in the ban k is identified by a letter. B節(jié)有兩段文字，分別設(shè)一個(gè)問題的單選題。
這部分要求考生閱讀若干篇短文，總閱讀量不超過1000詞。
1、題材廣泛，可以包括人物傳記、社會(huì)、文化、日常知識(shí)、科普常識(shí)等，但是所涉及的背景知識(shí)應(yīng)能為學(xué)生所理解;
2、體裁多樣，可以包括敘述文、說明文、議論文等;
3、文章的語言難度中等，無法猜測(cè)而又影響理解的關(guān)鍵詞，如超出教學(xué)大綱詞匯表四級(jí)的范圍，用漢語注明詞義。
閱讀理解部分主要測(cè)試下述能力：
1、 掌握所讀材料的主旨和大意;
2、 了解說明主旨和大意的事實(shí)和細(xì)節(jié);
3、 既理解字面的意思，也能根據(jù)所讀材料進(jìn)行一定的判斷和推論;
4、 既理解個(gè)別句子的意義，也理解上下文的邏輯關(guān)系。
閱讀理解部分的目的是測(cè)試學(xué)生通過閱讀獲取信息的能力，既要求準(zhǔn)確，也要求有一定速度。
第五部分：完形填空 Part Ⅴ Cloze (15 minutes 67-86共20題，每題0.5分占總分10%)
Directions: There are 20 blanks in the following passage. For each blank there are four choices marked [A], [B], [C] and [D] on the right side of the paper. You should choose the ONE that best fits into the passage. Then mark the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre.

答題及計(jì)分方法
客觀性試題用機(jī)器閱卷，要求考生從每題四個(gè)選擇項(xiàng)中選出一個(gè)最佳答案，并在答題紙(Answer Sheet)上該題的相應(yīng)字母中間用鉛筆劃一條橫線。試卷(Test Paper)上不能作任何記號(hào)。單選題只能選擇一個(gè)答案，多選作答錯(cuò)處理。主觀性試題按科學(xué)的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)評(píng)分。試卷各部分記分采用計(jì)權(quán)的方法(用常模公式進(jìn)行換算，總分710分),折算成百分制，以60分為及格標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。只發(fā)分?jǐn)?shù)報(bào)告單不發(fā)合格證。

8：50---9：00試音時(shí)間 (10分鐘)
9：00---9：10播放考場(chǎng)指令，發(fā)放作文考卷(10分鐘)
9：10取下耳機(jī)，開始作文考試(30分鐘。占總分15%)
9：35發(fā)放含有快速閱讀的試題冊(cè)(但9：40才允許開始做)
9：40---9：55做快速閱讀(15分鐘。一篇短文1-10共10題，每題1分占總分10%)
9：55---10：00收答題卡 (即作文和快速閱讀)， 重新戴上耳機(jī)，試音尋臺(tái)，準(zhǔn)備聽力考試(5分鐘)
