Everybody knows that our life is very short, so the great educators always advocate us to do what we like and pursue for our goals bravely. Most people have many ideas in their minds and they dare not to take action, because thinking of the effort they make but what if they accomplish nothing, so they decide to give up and just live the boring life. It reminds me of the famous words, some people just die at age of 20 but only to be buried at the age of 70. As we are young and full of energy, it is a good time for us to fight for our future, never be afraid of failure, because it is the mother of success. We can achieve our goals if we have patience, just to cherish time and keep fighting.
Since we have received education, we are told that drugs are horrible and they can destroy our life completely. In the TV, the news reported the disasters that drugs would bring, but still there were so many young people had been seduced to take drugs. During recent years, some famous stars were caught by the policemen. They took drugs and brought the negative information to the public. As a result, their career was ended and they couldn't appear in the screen. The young people is the future of a country, but they are easy to be seduced by criminal behaviors. They want to try something new and go against the law. It is unwise to try drug, because it is hard to recover. Without strong will, life will be ruined. We should stay away from drugs.
A man had a little daughter—an only and much-loved child. He lived forher—she was his life. So when she became ill, he became like a man possessed, moving heaven and earth to bring about her restoration to health.
His best efforts, however, proved unavailing and the child died. The fatherbecame a bitter recluse, shutting himself away from his many friends andrefusing every activity that might restore his poise and bring him back to hisnormal self. But one night he had a dream.
He was in heaven, witnessing a grand pageant of all the little childangels. They were marching in a line passing by the Great White Throne. Everywhite-robed angelic child carried a candle. He noticed that one child‘s candlewas not lighted. Then he saw that the child with the dark candle was his ownlittle girl. Rushing to her, he seized her in his arms, caressed her tenderly, and then asked, “How is it, darling, that your candle alone is unlighted?”“Daddy, they often relight it, but your tears always put it out.”
Just then he awoke from his dream. The lesson was crystal clear, and itseffects were immediate. From that hour on he was not a recluse, but mingledfreely and cheerfully with his former friends and associates. No longer wouldhis darling‘s candle be extinguished by his useless tears.
if you want to understand adversity, take two identical acorns from thesame oak tree and plant them in two different locations. plant the first in themiddle of a dense forest, and the other on a hill by itself.
here's what will happen. the oak standing on a hillside is exposed to everystorm and gale. as a result its roots plunge deep into the earth and spread inevery direction, even wrapping themselves around giant boulders. at times it mayseem the tree isn't growing fast enough—but the growth is happening underground.it's as if the roots know they must ported the tree from the threateningelements.
